Fence panel price

They give a military discount of 10% at Coastal as well, so that makes for nice prices. It was $328.46 before tax for one kennel worth for us today.

I can't possibly catch up. I keep trying, I've skimmed up through post 13740 but I may need to just give up :) I have too much going on! My husband's parents have been here for a week, I've needed to decide on a middle school for my oldest child, my youngest child's birthday is today, my husband's cousin (from L.A.) has a sister in the hospital here in Seattle and she has visited us a couple of times, my son has been home sick, and he has a big orchestra concert today. Next week should calm down, I HOPE!

My chickens aren't laying as many eggs as it seems they should be. I get 1-4 a day from 8 hens (4 are laying, 3 should be laying, and one I'm not sure when she should start). They were doing better a few weeks ago! I am loving the longer days and can't wait to change the clocks tomorrow. I have over 200 new daffodils that will be blooming soon, then 100 red tulips. Happy spring!

OK, (I'm goinna be kicked outta the Husband's Union for this) I can bake a cake from scratch, make a pie from scratch including the crust, bake bread, including rye and pumpernickle. I don't cook goumet food but I do cook hardy stuff. I also love ethnic dishes and regional dishes.
BUT I CAN'T MAKE A HARD BOILED EGG!! Dang it. They are either over cooked or under cooked.
Can anybody tell me how to do this successfully and consistently? (I really hate green yolks)

I really like this method for boiling eggs, especially freshly laid eggs: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/115799/crazy-easy-way-to-make-hard-boiled-eggs/220#post_10601934

It works perfectly nearly every time.

I'll pass on the microwave, could be an explosive situation. I dunno, but???
DH was being a goof when he said to post that. He knows not to microwave them.

I still don't know if he's excited about our babies. He still only knows about 3 of them, not the 2 newest ones.

Went to walady944's house and met my Dominque. She's beautiful and was standing happily on my finger. Walady said she will even eat feed out of her hand. I'm going to pick her up in about 2 weeks and bring her home. I will also pick up Fluffy (LB) and bring her home so the two can figure out a pecking order.

Egg Cartons --

I did not order 2,200. Even with a few of you taking some off my hands I would have been left with over 1,500 ! That was just too many, so I went for 250. I'm happy to pass some on for .35 cents each - I want to keep at least 100.

Dave
I will happily take 25-50 which ever works out for you.

I read the technique at your link. I was a real skeptic, but I just tried it anyway. I really expected the shells to crack when they hit the hot water, especially since they were from the fridge. The eggs were 2 days old. It worked really well. I had one egg (from my Barnevelder) that stuck to the shell in one small area, but that's all. No cracked shell. Perfectly done on the inside, too.

Mikey... give it a try, it worked for me!

For those wanting the instructions, here ya go:
Bring water to a full rolling boil. Lower eggs gently into the water using a ladle so they don't smack the bottom of the pan and crack. Boil 15 min. Drain and immediately put into an ice bath until they are cool enough to handle. (mine took about 5 min. and yes I really used ice). The yolk was perfect.

Thanks Slinglings!
