I was more just looking for any technical advise laws or regulations in the area. I know no roosters but otherwise all I am tracking is a 6 hen limit. And we are now in a bidding war.

Possibly a silly question: I have two mixed chicks that hatched from a brahma hen and a BR roo (I can't seem to post pics from my phone unfortunately!) They both have pea combs with three solid rows of peas like their momma. If I remember correctly with the brahmas the three rows of peas mean hen, should that hold true with a cross too?
Eta: they are both barred, though the one who inherited feathers legs is a lot lighter in the chest feathers.

not any rules or regulations beyond the limit, keeping smell down or roosters but you might look into contacting the local humane society there they would know best if it is on the line I would contact tacoma and spanaway I have never lived in a city

I have ameraucana that also have the pea combs. If you have a really distinct 3 rows it's probably a rooster. Hens don't normally have really well developed three rows when very young. How old are your chicks? The comb reddening up early is actually a better way to tell gender as well as getting in red wattles early.

How old are your chicks? The comb reddening up early is actually a better way to tell gender as well as getting in red wattles early.

They're almost a month. Combs are pale, but I hatched them to replace some predator casualties, so it would be my luck if I get cockrels and have to eat them. Lol.

well lots went on here today all pullets 13 barred, 2 sex-links, 1 EE all moved with their kiddie pool / pullet pen
into the main coop so the 5 barred hens can adjust to these new roomies

I will wait and see if the egg count goes down for a few days

I always assume they are all boys so that I am never disappointed.

Sure. I'm a believer in kombucha after what it did to my a1c. It can cause issues if you have hypoglycemia because of it's effects. Longer fermentation is best for help with blood sugar

He was here today but had Diane & I did not want to talk in front of her....I kinda think she'd hate booch beings that is a bit sour.
Some people hate it..not matter that is could extend their lives !
