I've been glued to the weather maps. We've got another strong system approaching. One tornado touched down in Manzanita. It's crazy out here today.

I have family members that moved to Long Beach this summer but I had no idea the weather was so bad there today. We are just getting a bunch of rain here, not too much wind, so I will go out later and check to see if there are any standing puddles from downspouts getting dammed by the ducks in their enthusiasm to build a pond.

As far as I know we will be working in the haunted houses at Wild Waves tonight for Frightfest but it probably won't be too busy in this weather. Fortunately I am under cover while working so I only get wet on my break and walking across the park before and after work. I get people tracking in water from their shoes in my room but it has not been too slippery yet.

We are seeing lot's of the wind down here which traditionally it has been fairly calm

I'm not up on a hill, so can't see over all the trees to the ocean. If a funnel drops, I'm not going to be able to see it in time.
