Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Lulu, Brigitta, and Otto went to new homes this weekend. I decided this was as good a time as I'm going to get to introduce the little girls (hatched at the end of September) into the Spitz pen. Dotty and Dolly have given them a few pecks, just enough to show them who they have to respect. I think shaking up the pecking order before introducing new birds is a good idea.

Sounds like a good idea to me!

Oh, well, alas, once again I've run out of "do" before the end of what needs done. I suppose I could go dig out the top drain on the driveway if I decided not to wash my hair and make dinner, but my scalp feels as if I've got termites and I'm anticipating the taste of home-made chili too much to trade it off for erosion control.

People who have seen my driveway will know this is an irresponsible trade-off.

I got another inch+ while I slept. So from 2:30 yesterday to 2:30 today I got 5.13 inches of rain. Holy cow. Even my sloped yard has standing water it got soooo saturated. My poor 10 week old pullets wont come out of the coop with the big kids, just too nasty for them I guess. But only 9-10 more days til hatch day. YAY. 2 eggs of the 3 developed. And the color of the chicks I have been told will be Blue since I have a Splash roo. I kinda hope my BR's egg ends up a male, I would love to see what a Blue Barred/Orp looks like.

Well I had the exam with a REAL eye Dr. this am. He had to remove more foreign body and rust ring from my eye. Put a contact bandage on my eyeball and said I have to come back tomorrow. Also bring a driver as I won't be able to see well when he gets done tomorrow. He really didn't like it when I told him I have no driver but I can drive by braille just fine. I am just about ready for this to be over. I am tired of the hurt and blurred vision!! And then there's the bill. Just for today $461.

Ohhhh.... I'm so sorry to hear that! I know how bad it can feel. Wish I was close by to drive for you. Itsren is right about how quickly our eyes heal so you'll be good as new pretty quick. Just be sure to follow the Dr. orders!!!

Oooh, having a foreign body removed is so much fun. I had to have a tarantula's urticating hair removed from my cornea around 5 years ago. (Still have two more than penetrated all the way inside.) I had a very hard time holding still while a stranger put sharp forceps on my eyeball! I hope your doctor gets it all out and everything heals up. Good luck!

Jennifer

I don't even WANT to know how THAT might have happened!!!!

I'd love to get a couple of TotalColour's ducks for holiday meals, but I can't justify driving all the way from Bremerton to Olympia. If anyone else in Kitsap is headed that direction maybe we could team up or do a tag team sort of thing. Any interest out there????

This is the one Jess should have had for her DH. That is 1" forestry hose. A REAL SCOTT Pak. the ringer inside is the coupler of the 2 forestry hoses and the spanner is the Pacific Pumpers Spanner that I carried in my turn out pocket for many years.

This is CGG's and is hanging on the front of her "GIRL CAVE" !!!

These will give you an idea. Right now I have one red bell it is just a bit smaller (about 7" dia.) $125., a Blue with silver and gold (about 8" dia), a black flat top and a "Natural" flat top. The last 3 are $150 each. I also make and sell hangers for $25 each. Either Scroll or horse shoes.
