Well we found out we did not get the House! There were 6 offers on it and ours was 2nd highest, I guess I have to keep looking. So bumbed.

OK, it's been almost a week, about time I had better photos, right? Although this one was taken under a big CFL and even color-corrected is a little ooky:



 

These are beautiful little birds but I can see how they could be mistaken for pigeons or doves.

I'm working hard at thinking of them, every time I see them, as small chickens. They behave like chickens, after all. But every time they stretch their wings, it trips the "pigeon" switch: they have much longer wings for their size than I'd expect, and they're much more dove shaped than, say, quali shaped.
