Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

So............I still have a few Bielefielder Hens left, and they lay a Jumbo egg, and they are in the Barnevelder coop....so I am thinking if I hatch their eggs, they would be called:

BarneBielefieldervelders.........
Barna-Biele-fielder-velders.
Cool.Of course I expect them to be double laced barnebielefeldervelders. :lau

(say that like the swiss chef from sesame street)
sorry, couldn't resist sharing !

when did you get marans ? been hunting for black copper three years

At this point in time I do not even recall...one set I do remember was from @Zgoatlady (Enumclaw) but she no longer has any. A shame, cuz her birds were awesome, HUGE super super dark eggs.
I think she had alot of predator attacks and never replaced the loss.
I do know these are Bev Davis' line.

Hello, I'm sorta new here but also sorta not.. i had an account a few years ago but can't remember the password or which email it was under so i had to start over ;) lol. Anyway, I've seen, through searching the forums, that people have had success hatching grocery store eggs, in particular trader joes eggs that are marked as fertile. My 11yo daughter and I are dying to experiment! But I checked TJs and no fertile eggs :( Wondering if anyone knew if any TJ locations have fertile eggs? OR, if any other brands around here have the potential to be fertile? Maybe something PCC carries? And yes, I can very easily get proper hatching eggs ;) My daughter and I are just excited about experimenting with store eggs.. if its possible around here?!

So first where are you in our great state ? glad you rejoined new name ? where you at Trader joes in olympia or tacoma ? is there others ? old brain do not recall allot of us have fertile eggs also

I was checking at the shoreline trader Joe's, but also regular go to Lynnwood and Kirkland. I can easily get hatching eggs from friends. Just hoping for the novelty of hatching store eggs just for fun

Two silkie x wheaten ameraucana and one silkie x EE.

I moved the hen and she wouldnt settle in the new nest box by the time I brought out the chicks. I was going to take them back in but decided to see what she'd do. I set them down. She fluffed up, came over and sat on one. Then she pushed the other two under her.

So doing everything wrong she still wanted them that bad. I'll give her chicks again
