I may breed her and her sister to one of my big silkie roosters. Work towards a silkie-ish blue egg layer.

Means I should keep their brother and use him over a couple big hens as well. Just a fun thing, nothing really serious

How adorable why not give it try I am getting my 4 silky eggs a day right now the two hatchery birds I bought they have raised are close to grown but may end up the marans of it is a cockerel comb a tad to red for that age still about just about half size
 
so two hatched today left them in bator to dry laid a cloth on the top of the other incubator top will make that the brooder for them tonight first photos think I will pull them about nightfall

Have another 8 pipped so see in the morning going to try to sleep won't happen any faster
Hope they do well. Had a long day went fishing again we caught 12 walleye came back fillet and packaged all but dinner for tomorrow then cut up and packaged 3 Cornish x then gathered eggs packaged those had dinner and it’s bed time.
 
think I am set pretty good have 1 hatchery one if not pullet can go to auction the silky raised it and a creme legbar last week I bought 5 black marans pullets from a gal in Olympia.. if all four are cockerel I will want more but will pay you for them like I would anywhere else
