Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I do nothing to my silky but let me touch a peep they never miss a peck at me

LOL! Oh yes, if you're within that foot or two in front of them they can target quite well.

I think I need to trim my dark pullet. She's had the misfortune of getting one of the huge crests and can't really see at all. That's what Pumice's issue is. The little dark girl hasn't figured out the water trick yet

this morning filled the water dishes as marans cannot push the nipples yet although the girls are trying to teach them.. tomorrow they are all coming out for the day into the tractor Silky scratch where I drop food inside but better to teach them forage out also..
coming onto dark they all go back in

A Silky boy? the girls are doing great as Moms had to deposit food in as we started stumbling among peeps they called them to the corner so we could get out job done

just no reason to have a boy here of them hoping one of the marans is a cockerel raise
it let see what we get..I have my broody ameracauna on eggs from my boy his girls see if she can hatch them or his he shooting blanks being really good at taking care of them now raising the young barred I put in

Why didn't someone tell me that jesses work really well on chickens? They figure out they can't fly off pretty quick and then just settle down.
