Hey morning all got up late like 9 am ... The cold is here news talked about snow Chehalis but we are 45 miles from it. We have bright sunshine for now

No snow here. We only hit 29° last night though.

I'm starting to get antsy and worrying we'll get snowed in and won't be able to get groceries (don't laugh, my car gets stuck in like 2" of snow), so I told hubby I might make a grocery trip late tonight. I have a week and a half of groceries on hand but would like to push it to 2 weeks worth (after that I'd just start cooking random stuff lol, i.e. plain macaroni with peas and uh... kidney beans?).

He thinks I'm silly but he later said he'd go with me if that made me feel better.

Yeah you just never know! It’s good to be prepared. Sounds like you need an all wheel drive car! We have a steep driveway so I never want to be without one! Nice of your husband to offer to go with. Take him up on it!

The weather forecast I saw a little bit ago looked like it would hit the south sound area, including hood canal and Kitsap Peninsula. So I may or may not see any the first round. The second one on Saturday all bets are off! But it looked like you would get hit good in the first one. I hope for all of us it goes to California or Alaska!!!

We have had 40'' so far. But we can drive in it. But you know who can't? People visiting from or just moved from Seattle. If the roads are bare and plowed, and some one visiting sees snow on the sides of the road they go 10mph.

We do need one! But not me... I drive a tiny convertible lol. Tinier the better for me. I've tried talking hubby into a truck but it's been all compact sedans.

We have a F150 rear wheel drive and a Kia front wheel drive have not had the kia in snow but have great tires on front now

LOL. I don't like driving in snow if I can help it, but at least I don't do 10 mph when the road is clear. Though it was funny, the first year I moved to Virginia there was a big snow. At the time I had a Prius. I had to go out to mail some letters and get groceries so I was driving about 25 mph (the roads weren't plowed very well. They don't "do" snow in the south) and these big 4 wd drive trucks were flying by me....and then sliding straight off the road. Meanwhile I just tooled on past in my Prius doing 25. I still chuckle to myself about it.

I saw so many idiots in Virginia Beach in the 14 years I was there. We had 3 inches of ice one year and it just went insane. I was living on base so of course I was constantly working because I could walk and morons couldn't make it in.
