Been down since Wednesday with gastroenteritis and I'm not sure if it was viral or bacterial, but boy, is this stuff for the birds. Spent so much time laying down yesterday that my back went on strike today and told me no more laying down. Managed to do a few things around the house, but bleh. Hard to do when your stomach doesn't feel well!

Been 48 hours already I do hope I'm better tomorrow though. I've called out of work the past two days and really need to go in tomorrow. It's my last day before a 16 day vacation.

It could be. Gastroenteritis is basically the catchall term. It could even be salmonella. I try to be very conscientious about washing up after handling the birds, but something could have gotten through. I'm not bothering to go to the Dr. to get a fecal sample tested, so I can't know for sure. The treatment is pretty much just keep hydrated and rest.

Whew. Just cleaned out the duckling brooder. They're happy little campers but I am pooped. That's enough physical effort for me today.
