It could be. Gastroenteritis is basically the catchall term. It could even be salmonella. I try to be very conscientious about washing up after handling the birds, but something could have gotten through. I'm not bothering to go to the Dr. to get a fecal sample tested, so I can't know for sure. The treatment is pretty much just keep hydrated and rest.

Might ask your Doc or pickup fish antibiotic for secondary infection if seeing your stomach is involved

According to the web, antibiotics are contraindicated because they actually prolong the problem. If I don't get better in the next day or two, I will hit the urgent care. I already felt better today than I did yesterday.

If you felt a bit better for real it probably was bug are you around my age 61? We can have a few real icky problems

I'm 43 and generally tend to be in decent health (joint and back problems aside). Stomach is still a bit icky today, but I'm not having to hit the bathroom every 5 minutes, so that's a vast improvement. Just gotta get through the work day, then I'll be on vacation for almost 3 weeks.

Osteo arthritis and plain old. Also .. neck the spinal column is closing so fingers feet no feeling

Yes indeed. Some days are definitely better than others, but that's always the case.
