No show. This is my Christmas picture for Facebook. And probably I'll enter one of the pics in for next years calendar.

I just lost the fight with the cockerels over wearing the knit hat. They can remove it faster than I can duct tape it on.

Ahhh heck I have just the right amount left for the banty coop. A frizzle, a blue EE and 4 silkie a mix of splash one black .. The Hawthorns are great winter shot

I have been trying to rehome this jerk for the last 10 or so weeks to no avail. We’ve had an ad up on Craigslist trying to give him away for about 3 weeks. Finally, someone asked about him a couple of days ago and was supposed to come get him this evening! They had to cancel, but still want him, so we’ve made arrangements to drive him out to their location (still in city limits which makes him illegal still, but they own property outside of town where he’s going to either live or be dinner). And then, someone else just asked about him! He’s sweet with me, but he has it in for my 6 year old, she’s still got wounds healing on both feet from his last attack, and today he grabbed her glasses and not her lip! He can’t be gone fast enough at this point, even my daughter, who absolutely adores the chickens hand didn’t want to get rid of him, is now ready to eat him. Thankful he never broke skin, and he is a good cockerel as far as keeping my pullets safe, but he is definitely not a friendly chicken!

Also, I’ll never be ordering from Meyer Hatchery again. They have a 100% sexed guarantee, full money back if they screw up. I reported their screw up right at 14 weeks (their site says “fill out this form” between 14-23 weeks old only) and they completely ignored it. I tried to post a review and also got blocked there! I paid double the cost of a male chick to ensure I was getting all females and they completely ignored all of my attempts at contacting them! If (I have also developed an allergy to eggs) I get chicks again, I’ll buy from the local feed store…I paid way too much for the headaches Stella Fella has caused us!

But, he’ll be gone tomorrow.
