Im worried about the rain in the forecast if the snow doesn't melt first.

yes, they "tv weather" are saying flooding

Both my Sapphire Gem, Safaia, and my OE, Sam, have mild frostbite. When they came out of the coop this morning, I noticed that the tips of their combs were very white and dead looking. They have really big, floppy combs.

I have my wood stove going too. 5 degrees here. Sunny, but gusts.

No frostbite here but all my birds have pea or walnut combs. Silkies I made sleep IN their houses but doors were open so no moisture buildup. Large fowl have flat 2x4s for roosts. Everyone had warm feet.

Mine seem to have come through it all well .. Key is ventilation and no breeze over them .. Frostbite can happen in the best coop .. keep like vaseline on it..

No frostbite here but I don't have any birds with overly large combs, and still have most of the windows open in the coop in addition to the vents up higher. The air inside the coop feels very crisp/dry.

Best case we can all do and Smudge is the heavy comb but lots of air movement and space in that coop .. Better half was worried the little coop had two fans in it.
He wanted to take them out .. Asked he not as it is air in they are not on .. So air flow.

May run out of cats food before that can go to our local grocer small but here .. not the normal brand but at least it is food

Some dogs and cats will get diarrhea if food is switched suddenly. Mine did when we moved and didn't have a Costco for dog's normal food. I would get the food now and mix it in @ 20-25% each day.
