So sorry to hear that! My 80 year old stepdad is currently in quarantine for COVID19 and he also has pneumonia too. My 7 year old and I were supposed to be at his house visiting right now, glad he tested positive before we got there though! Both my kiddo and I are scheduled to have surgery in April.

Better half is 75 I am 62 Son with us 38 vaccine and booster made sense and masks..
Last time I had pneumonia was not sure I would get through it. Had it 5 times

Yeah, we are all fully vaccinated (kids go for their boosters in June/July), stepdad is vaccinated as well, very thankful he finally got his vaccines, with his PMR, his doctor was sure he would not survive covid without it! I've been calling/texting him daily just to make sure he's still kicking!

Gets harder as we get older .. I know we have been so careful but still did our own shopping just washed up each time we could.

Went to make sure all the chickens got into the coop tonight...1 of 13 chickens were in the coop. Ugh. 11 of the 12 locked in the run were yelling their fool heads off, while Shadow was just chilling on the roost bar on the other side of the run from the rest of them.

This is part of the reason I go check on them every night...the other reason would be the egg that got laid in the run today. It was just sitting under their feeder.

Just closed ours for night I do not have auto doors here ..
Cannot justify the cost or going out each night ..
But that is me do not judge as you will be also ...

I think my timer on the door might be "off", will look at it in the morning to see if it shut early. Sometimes they forget they're already in the coop when the door starts shutting and beeline outside instead. Silly chickens.

The one complaint I have about smudge he always has acted like he does not get enough food .. He will knock lesser hens back to get it ..
