Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I haven't seen. Hard to fully predict them is the problem I think.

I have never been more thankful for the water lilies out there. They cover the big pond and stop the waterfowl from landing there.

This was a reply to someone building a duck pond and pen. Wild waterfowl had been in the construction area
Thanks for the update - hope it's soon - looking forward to getting these blue tarps off the run before the nice weather hits 😁

Regarding the bird flu, here is my hope. The ducks and geese are migrating north, and all of the cases are in Tacoma or further north, so that may mean the flu is traveling north and will skip SW Washington. Well, it's a hope. :fl

Meantime, I'm routing well water to the chickens because they currently share river water with the wild birds. Talk about risk! :barnie

That one in Spokane County makes me nervous....but a flock of 75, it can't be in Spokane city...we are limited to 1 hen per 1,000 sq ft property! I have a 10,000+ sq ft lot and am "over limit" with my 13 hens! I'm going out tonight to wrap my 2x4 fencing with some bird netting I have, but with the HC lower done and having fully covered run, I don't know that I need to be too worried since we aren't near wild waterfowl at all...

Hello everyone,

I have 2 birds im looking to rehome, one is more than likely a Cockrell. They are both fibro naked necks (3/4 ayam cemani, 1/4 naked neck). The pullet is fully feathered and the cockrell is rumpless. They are both still currently living in my garage with their clutch mates. Here are some pictures of them. They are about 4-5 weeks old. Let me know if you are interested.
