Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Thanks for all the condolences and well wishes for my aunt. She was very old and ready to go. In fact, she told me she was ready two years ago. We miss her greatly, but it was her time and she is able to run and dance and do all the things she has missed these last years again.

@Hinotori are you in one of the area effected by the power station vandalism? I'm sorry to hear you lost power on Christmas Day. That's terribly inconvenient. Hope they get it fully restored soon.

Yes. The last one hit, the Kapowsin substation.

Looks like we have more heavy weather ahead. I don’t know why anyone would think they need to mess with the power grid. Mother Nature does a pretty fair job all by herself. We’ve been getting text alerts all morning announcing road closures due to trees falling or water over the roadway.

Good morning hard winds this morning rained in the night no active cells just now.
We did loose power Christmas eve for about 2 hours. PUD here is pretty cool they get right to it.
That’s good! We were out the whole day Dec. 23. Fortunately we had no problems but this year DH didn’t check out the generator so it wouldn’t start. It was dark and boring but just fine otherwise.

Winds are picking up and lights are flickering. . . Flashlights out, hurricane lamps filled and birdies are all in bed - ✔️, ✔️ and ✔️!
