Hey all Sun has not emerged but still dry.
61 is our temperature tad cool feels good.
We lost internet for about 20 minutes was going to call then it came back.

Wow. How can it be so different there? Sunny and warm here. 72 at the moment.

Well, it's sure sunny here. I'm running electric service to the 30 amp RV outlet so I can sleep in the travel trailer this coming weekend if I can't handle the heat in the house.

The RV has an air conditioner. The house doesn't.

Yes, not looking forward to Saturday. It's usually 10 degrees cooler on the deck, so we might be able to go outside there. Most likely will stay in with the AC. House is always cool. For a couple weeks of the year, I'm thankful for that.

The travel trailer has electricity now and the air conditioner works! All set for hot weather.

Since it was reasonably cool this morning I did my annual coop cleanout/blowout. Even with a mask, goggles, gloves, hair wrapped under an old t-shirt, extra long sleeve shirt tucked into pants tucked into socks, I still found bits of dirt and debris in the underlayer (another t-shirt and shorts). But given the amount of chicken dust on the top layer, whew, I'm glad I suit up! Feels much nicer in the coop too, since all the vents get blown out and the new wood chips are from a newer pile (1 yr old) instead of the old one I was nursing along, that was noticeably breaking down and therefore kinda crumbly.

We have not needed the air on yet today still 64 outside but see the sun coming out there may be hope.
We have a ceiling fan large one in the living room.
Bought small ceiling fans for most rooms.

I've left a wide strip around the edge of the yard unmowed to save gas and time mowing. There's a lot of chicken food growing there now. I just walked it with a hoe and bucket and gave the girls a big pile of tasty weeds to eat!

When I cut the garden that grows between the tires that goes to the chickens. Richard puts all the grass clippings to their yard all year.

Hey all, We had aid and police cars head up the hill twice last
Night.
Did not end till like 2 am short night.

We went to a friend's house in town and watch the fireworks. They lasted until 11:15 and I was complaining about that! That is two hours past my bedtime. Heard sirens a couple times, ad saw at least one firetruck. Not sure what the sirens were the other time. Such a dangerous day. Glad it is over, and so happy that my animals are not scared of the noise. It wouldn't be good if they were. We have a couple neighbors with target shooting setups. Could be very distressing for a skittish dog. Doesn't bother us. I'll be happy they are good shots if ever we need protection in this community.

Ya we had fun getting two pullets they did not like boom, boom.
Took about James and I 20 minutes to wrangle them in.
I am so wacked today it was like 2 am before they stopped here.
I am a crack shot so is Richard we have not had a need.
Sitting up in the yard watching the fireworks from town
was fun.
