Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Funny story about the weather this morning. When I opened the tab for Weather Underground, it said it would be in the 60's today and 70's tomorrow. Well, turns out I was looking at the weather for La Fayette County, Georgia, where my girlfriend lives. I was watching her weather last weekend because they were expecting tornadoes. I never changed it back to Toledo. :lau But, what a disappointment!!!

Good news is, we will hit 60's by Monday and 70's by Tuesday right here in Toledo! :thumbsup

Yes it was a militant organization. The weather website was founded in 1995 and isnt related

The website is for weather taken from a big network of weather stations, a large amount are backyard stationed hooked up to it.

When they had changed their app several years back I'd found something else to use.

Just working finger constantly. Have to sleep in a brace and wear a metacarpal brace occasionally during the day. Probably will have to do that for a long time. Doesn't get in the way really. Hand works better than it did before revision surgery. Just a bit of curve in finger because tendon is shorter now from repair. Swelling will last a few months still.

Doctor followed scar of original surgery so no extra scarring. She also removed the problematic scarring. Doesn't look too bad and it will fade some. It's only been a bit over 5 weeks.

Looks like it is healing well. What a long haul this has been for you! I'm sure you will be happy when it all gets back to normal, or as close as possible. A new normal I suppose.

Anyone here know which hatchery Wilco uses? I was able to find my chicks at the one in Kelso a few weeks ago but I forgot to ask. The line was long, but worth the wait. All healthy so far! Mostly just asking out of curiosity and to try and verify the reliability of the breeds I chose. Thanks!!
I don't know. You could call them. They are using one exclusively I believe, based on the conversation I had with one of the chick tenders there. Several years ago, they mentioned it was a hatchery in AZ, but I don't remember now which one, nor do I know if that is still the one they use. If you find out, please share. I also got my chicks there this year, 3 weeks ago. Maybe we were in line together. 😁

I couldn't say which hatchery they use either, but out of the 8 barred rock chicks I bought 2 years ago, 5 still survive. I lost three due to reproductive issues.

One passed overnight and was laying on the floor in the morning. I found she was laying eggs internally. The other two were euthanized due to severe water belly (ascites), and probably also laying internally. I didn't necropsy the 2nd and 3rd loss, just the first.

They were/are all exceptional egg layers, bred for producing lots of eggs at the expense of their reproductive health. The remaining 5 are for the most part healthy, but one is consistently laying thin shelled brittle eggs, maybe due to molting.
