Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I'm exhausted after painting on the house today. I went through about 2/3 of a gallon of paint, on my feet for four hours or so and painted about 7 feet up the siding.

I'll pull my truck next to the house tomorrow and stand in the bed and paint a few more feet above that. My son will do the ladder work and paint the high stuff.

There's not much going on in the garden. This cooler weather has slowed things down. There'll be more beans to pick sometime in the next week.

Shoes? I wore shoes that were a little too narrow for a few weeks and it caused a bunyon to start forming, so now I have to wear wide shoes to prevent pain.

I'm not surprised. It was 90 here today. Too hot for that kind of work.

Shoes matter. :old

I was told Ma would buy shoes that where too small as my heal is so narrow she did not want my heal to slip.
I did wear birks allot always loved them still have a pair.
I broke my foot dancing in soft shoes.
It is bone in the top of the foot you see it after it heals,
a white spot on the bone.

Got the same tonight.

They absolutely do! No hoof, no horse! Same goes with People. I’m so grateful to have the privilege of living in the age of the running shoe! I remember the first time I put a pair of Nikes on I thought I’d died and gone to heaven.

My favorite pair of shoes was a pair of Red Wing steel toe work boots. They felt great and I wanted to get them resoled but it couldn't be done.

I was finally able to see which pullet was laying the eggs this morning. Some of the others are starting to squat for me, so more eggs are on the way.

Pulled all my onions and shallots out of the ground. I think I'll have enough for canning and eating over the winter. If not, I'll just start more seeds next year. LOL
