Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

@ Trav - That's really great that your son will be home for Christmas! And thanks for the silkie answer.

@ BantyCL - Thank you.

@ CR "A five toed puffy cheeked Rhode Island Red egg layer." The little chook IS red!

Here is the plans I threw together for my soundproof coop that should be completed over the next few weeks hopefully:

Anything missing? The windows for ventilation, and the doors will have a chicken wire kind of screen on the inside for extra ventilation and fresh air in the summer. We already have the coop on site, we just need to soundproof it and fix up some things.

Laughing Feather - thank you - now I know what that icon means. In fact I never paid attention to any of the others except Smiley, because I couldn't decide when you need them. I'm the lowest rating non-techy in the family.

Actually if you hover your pointer over them. They should tell what each does.

Chicken Rustler, I know it will tell me what it means but, my shriveled brain doesn't comprehend. Whenever something goes wrong with the computer - everyone jumps on me and says "WHAT did you touch?" I figure I am better off not trying anything. Difficult to learn in this environment.

touching the puter will not cause any perm harm. They're snowing you. Tellem to bug off and smile attem.

Well my pvc hooped roofs stand up to wind and rain, but not 3 inches of snow. Bahh! Slope apparently isn't steep enough, or the tarp isn't smooth enough. They are getting real roofs like CR's in the spring at the latest.

Blast this weather! Without power & my chicks are cold, luckily, they're almost 3 months old & half feathered. I guess this is my reminder to go to light/dark stages with my lighting & lower the temp.
Yesterday in all that wind my roof blew off the coop! I'm afraid to look today. Did I mention the power is out? I had hoped to work on the coop some before work. Doesn't look like that'll happen.
Anyone else without power? Or have more than my measly 1/2" dusting of snow?
