Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr, another gate bites the dust!!!

I think we're gonna have to give up privacy and use chain link.
Sorry about the privacy issue. You might try sharing some of that Viagra with your gate and it might stay up for you. Keeping all that chain link for yourself is just selfish.

Sorry, been up all night. Sense of humor is ???? today.

It might work. I have DH go out on dark nights and pee on my cherry trees to help deter deer. The dogs pee along the fenceline up front and we haven't had a coyote cross it, but do see them out on the road and hear them along the RR tracks.

Thanks. I appreciate the ideas. I think I may have my 3 DS's go out and pee around the chicken area. Lol, they will get a kick out of that!

OK, this is an urgent call for all us BYC friends to help poor Farmin Momma out.  She needs protection for her coop.  We must all go and pee on Farmin Momma.  She needs our help so hold your bladders and get on over to FM's coop and let loose!  Let us shower her with our BYC most potent potion.  Friendship pee.

Just trying to cheer you up FM.

Well it worked greatly! LMAO in the middle of FredMeyers, not only was that hilarious but I instantly pictured those BYCers that I have met and a hole bunch of ”strangers” in chicken shirts or with chicken purses, out in my yard peeing everywhere! OMG way to funny. Thanks!

I think I saw a post a few days ago about a North end meet up, was is Kim that mentioned it?
Anyways, I would love to! Durring school hours works best for me if we go meet somewhere. But I am thinking about offering to invite ya'll to my home for it. I will have to talk to DH about it. Then we could do it on a weekend and maybe more of you that are out farther could join in. Maybe do a potluck dinner or lunch. Just an idea, let me know what ya'll think!

Nasty footing out there- three inches of snow, and not a minute of the past twenty-four hours under freezing, so it's the texture of a Slushy, turns into zero-friction wet ice if you look at it cross-eyed, and soaks into everything it touches.

A whole lot of the stuff that got set aside last summer for other things going wrong is coming up to bite me, especially the lack of a rigid frame on the broody-pen roof and keeping the EEs in a too-small tractor, neither of which I can do a blasted thing about by myself. The EEs are perfectly happy- their accomodations are deluxe compared to the hall bathroom- but I'm not. Und shovelling wet snow off a five-foot-tall roof that sags in the middle is... not my favorite upper-body workout, shall we say?

Well, best go get the other sixty-gajillion things on my list for today done, I guess.

Stumpfarmer and FarminMomma, sorry about your losses.

Dawng, hope your girl is doing better.
CR, I work Saturdays or else I'd be there to help.
Trav and everyone else out driving, be safe on the roads!
HoneysuckleHills, good to see you again. You too, Totalcolour, although I'm sorry about the shoulder.
Renee, congrats on your coop being featured!
I think I got everything...hope all is well with everyone.

I think I saw a post a few days ago about a North end meet up,

Carolyn F and I where talking about joining your north end meet up even though I am in Poulsbo and she in Bremerton.  Any excuse to escape :ya and act like kids.

I know your real motive.  You want us for our pee!  :lau   I can see the sign now out by the coop.  OUT HOUSE...

Dang it you got me. I was worrief I posted that to soon after the idea was brought up! Lol

My my, I'm gone for a few days and there are over 200 posts! You all are a bunch of clucking hens. ;)

Anyway, while walking to downtown Bham I walked past a lovely house with a lovely garden and chicken coop.
I thought I saw a BR in the run the first time I walked by, but on my way home (as it started snowing) all I saw out free ranging were (I think) Welsummers. They all looked super happy! I kind of felt like a creeper checking out the chickens and studying the coop and run design.

I almost took a picture, but I thought that would just cross the line into stalkerdom.

Oh! And you all are totally right about varying personalities within breeds. Most were fairly skittish of me watching them...except for one. She went right up to the fence and started studying me right back. I told her that if this were the wild, she would be the first one eaten. Yes, I occasionally talk to chickens and other animals.

Anyway, if the owner of house and chicken coop is on this thread, that creepy girl with the green raincoat and long brown hair......that was me. Please don't call the cops.
