Gee, Carolyn F and I don't have any little kids to bring. Maybe we should bring our other little ones we treat like kids. Hens on road trip. Yahoo.

Oh, that's just rediculous. Too bad there aren't more rich people who can afford that stuff, we'd all have more jobs and pay!!
Night all, see those of you going to the South meet-up tomorrow. I will likely be wearing my Pro Bowl t-shirt(blue). And don't be shocked if I don't carry conversations. I am horrible at the face to face conversations, at least starting them. Tomorrow will be a stretch out of my comfort zone. But I want to meet y'all.
I am the same way - very awkward! I don't socialize much, and sometimes, I talk about random things because sometimes the silence is too much for me.... and my words usually come out twisted or transposed, lol!!
Beautiful chick!!! Let me know if you want to be rid of any![]()

I love a good conversation...but I'm a bit worried about having the kids with me and actually being able to hold a conversation. We'll see how it goes. I might break my cardinal rule ONE time and bring the iPad to give to them to play on in the restaurant just so I can think straight. Gah! I HATE technology moms who don't teach their kids to exist amongst other humans but give them devices to shut them up instead. OK. I talked myself right outta that idea LOL
I wish I could get all of my boys energy out with tough work on the farm!! I have some cousins that were raised with their face in the Nintendo DS, they probably turned out better than me though, I am the family's black sheep (my brother, RIP, and I) I cannot stand video games...I lose everyday though because DH is a gamer and I have four boys who want to be just like him! My five year old was too young to start kindergarten, is at home during the day and has a bit of, well, "extra energy". I don't believe in all that ADD and ADHD, I think that kids should have that kind of energy and I admit, I wish I had it too!!!

I have been trying ot be 21 for ten years, so far, so good! only 3 years left though, then I have to turn 22![]()

Ahem... yep, it would be the man in the pink mask.
I'm SO BUMMED! DD woke up with a fever. Thanks to CR for helping me by picking up the eggs. I should have figured something was up with her. Last night when I got back from taking my oldest son to basketball, her twin brother told me she spent the entire hour and a half that I was gone screaming and crying that Mommy left her. Usually she's a Daddy's girl, but Daddy wasn't good enough last night. I kind of brushed it off that she was trying to get attention because her twin brother has been so out of sorts the last few weeks. We're not exactly sure what's up with him, but he has been having a sub at school and he doesn't cope well with change. There's always something with kids, but man, her timing to get sick was impeccable. Ugh! Just when Mommy was finally getting to do something fun for Mommy.
I hope the rest of you guys have a good time. I'll be looking forward to the next opportunity to meet everyone.
I hope your baby girl gets to feeling better. I am trying to swing IKEA tomorrow morning, got to rope an extra rider, if I can make it, let me know if I can be of assistance, I drive through Auburn on the way home (167 to I-5)
I'm debating... do I write a short e-mail to my oldest son's teacher or just let it go. Thoughts?
Yesterday, when my son was explaining his science project to the teacher, the teacher asked him a question about it. Instead of answering the question that was asked of him, he blurted out "We're illegal. We have too many chickens." The teachers responded "That's not good". DH said he didn't have time to explain the situation. I tell ya - my son has been obsessing over us having too many chickens since the day the chicks hatched. We've explained to him over and over that when they are out from underneath the heat lamp, the boys will be going away and we won't be over the limit. We told him the city, or the neighbors, are not going to care about chicks and if we had to explain it to anyone, they would completely understand the situation.
So - would you bother the teacher with an explanation, or just let it go?
Haha! He doesn't want you to go to jail for harboring fugitives!!!! I would let that slide![]()
From what I read for Tacoma's laws, they are only considered when full-grown.
Quote: agreed!

Ha! The yippies!! They don't even get the point of being a hippie, smh....
But, better for them to spend their money than me!!!!
Thanks for sharing!!!!
Quote: Not to worry they will get there somehow. THEY WILL NOT go to waste.
I am driving 100+![]()
Are you gonna be able to get the eggs to her, would hate to have them go to waste?
X2... I'm not sure where everyone is, but playing pass the egg could be a fun after work activity. Not to worry they will get there somehow. THEY WILL NOT go to waste.
Hey TurtlePowerTrav,I am going to do my darnedest to get to IKEA tomorrow morning, I drive right by Auburn and wouldn't have a problem getting them to you Itsren.
If I had an incubator, I would love to get my babies envoloved with actually hatching the chicks! Sounds educational/stressful, lol!
ChickAudie, I just got an incubator! Not sure whereabouts in Tacoma you are, but you are more than welcome to come visit, use it, borrow it when we're done, etc. I'm having a tough time being patient enough though. lol... I cranked that baby up last night and stared at it, there's not even eggs in it yet!! I haven't figured out the thermostat yet, may need some expert advice on that though. Once it's got eggs in it, my daughter's gonna have to pry me away for the next 21 days. It's her project, but I'm definitely the excited one!![]()
