Oh yeah you all wanted me to keep ya updated on demon. He has been having daily mild heart attacks. The term mild means what when having a heart attack though? he's obviously in pain. Me and my husband had a long conversation and have decided wednesday if he hasn't passed on already we're having him put to sleep.
Right now he's got labored breathing neck stretched out. I cannot afford another ER vet visit. I honestly hope he goes naturally tonight in his sleep. I hate seeing him suffer.

I'm sorry for your pain, I've been there. I urge you to not wait until Wed. If he's suffering, find a vet. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind, knowing you stopped his pain. I really do ache for you. Best of luck.

I can't have too's anymore, BH has allergies, but it's funny she can be around chickens, but 10 minutes with a cockatoo and her eyes start looking like apricots

I used to have a Rose Breasted Cockatoo. They preen a lot and have that dander that goes everywhere. I bet that is what your wife is allergic to. The dander. I don't think chickens preen like that as much.

OK velvet fog, you are right it was a hoax. I went back and rechecked. If you look at the link and then click on the 1st comment about snopes and read it quickly (as I did) snopes says the gator with the deer in its mouth and swimming with it is true. Further reading/investigation shows nothing about this gator being as large as stated or appears.
Historic note: in 1890 the largest alligator was caught in Marsh Island, La (record still stands) it measured 19' 2"

No worries Mike. I had to poke around to find the links and comments that point this out as a hoax.

The photos of the gator swimming with the deer in its mouth were pretty cool tho. Thanks

i coated my bark fence with spray acrylic clear outdoor stuff (I don't know the real name for it..) I think it will need another coat this summer, but I think it will help maintain the color and make it last longer.

No..it was a real coating of stuff, like shellac or lacquer, polyurethane, in a spray paint can.

Hey guys does anyone know anything about joining 4H? My daughter wants to show pygmy goats. Shes 9. I am not sure we are going to be able to get one yet or not BUT I wanted to look into it. I wanted to know about the cost involved and if the animals show have to be registered or what rules or whatnot are involved...

You may also want to consider doing the open shows. There are several in Western Washington.
Some Contacts locally are Pacific Pygmy Goat Club (PPGC), Cascade Pygmy Goat Club (CPGC) and on the National level it is National Pygmy Goat Association (NPGA) The open (club) shows were always very fun with lots of helpful people.

Last night I managed to resist the temptation of an addiction fix. Yup we were at Wilco in Kelso and I was able to look at the chicks and walk away.

But then was drawn back.

And walked away.

And was drawn back once again.

Just as I was picking up a box to but chicks in I hear a voice say. Put down the box and back away. We are closed YOU MUST LEAVE ! ! !
