Well, I've finally managed to get my grubby work-jackets washed; the one I had on when I untangled the calf was pretty rank.
The weather people are saying the rain's moving north, which is just fine with me, and with my sheep, Baaaachus, who is getting antsy in his pen. He HATES being out in the rain, was turned against it when his roof collapsed during the ice storm last year and he spent a couple of hours outside in the silvery nightmare, after I slashed his tarp so he could get out and while I was rigging him a shelter. I need to sit down and order a wool comb for my clipping machine tomorrow, so I can get him mowed.
I'm breaking down tomorrow and buying kennel panels that I can clad with small-mesh wire; the only way I can call other ways cheaper is if I don't count labor, and since I have to pay for some of that, it's not just the farmer delusion (the only way farmers make money is if they don't count their own labor). I already did the math on it, and would have bought them last summer except for the well needing a new tank and pump and then the refrigerator breaking.
