X2! Bad weather! Very bad!
Didn't even think of half of that stuff Carolyn! Thanks!
A short cooling off period won't harm them. I know some people will disagree with me, but if my power went out, I'd throw a blanket over the incubator to help retain heat. You have a fairly big one, yes? That will also retain heat longer than a small one.Anyone have any tips on what to do if the power goes out when incubating eggs? I am only on day 4 and I dont wanna loose them but its really bad here crossing fingers it doesnt go out!

Sweetlilbaby- I am so sorry they did not hatch. I really wish that at least some had hatched. But like you said, I would wash out your incubator really good for next time.
CR- The eggs were from me, and I know that they were fertile because I only gathered eggs from the girls that I saw my roos get that week. As for age of the eggs the oldest ones were about 4 days old when I sent them to her and if I remember right it only took one day to get to her. I did not wash the eggs, only gave her clean ones.
I had just hatched about 9 out of 12 eggs with a broody about two weeks before.
LOL....breathe....breathe.....this too shall pass......oh, wait, bunnies multiply faster than chickens. Nevermind.:yiipchick
Don't talk bunnies. Our Champagne D'Argent kindled with ten babies three days ago. She tossed them all out of the nest, so we put them back. That night she tossed them out again and all of them died.
