Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Ok you clever coop builders.... I've been toying with this idea for quite a while and I want your input. Trav... I think this is your fault having made your pallet coop.

Wouldn't it be possible to use several of these doors, attached to one another to make coop walls? Then painted to resist the weather? I'd even leave the door knobs on as decoration!
What is the downside to this idea?

That would make an AWFULLY cute coop. Make sure you post pics!

Nah, it was easy; he was perched on the low perch outside; I just picked him up, put him in the coop, shut the door, and shined my flashlight on the inside perch: He looked at it very carefully and jumped up on it and settled for the night.

Now if I can get Griz to stop pestering the Ameraucana , things should be fine, right?

Anna and I were both taken aback by how calm the new roosters are, even though Elvis, Bjorn, and the EEs were all sweet-tempered; one bad rooster makes a lasting impression.
He's a cool Dude and very mellow as far as temperament hopefully he stays that way as he gets older.

Wow, what a wonderful yesterday. Made it home in time for a sandwich and a nap, then another nap, watched tv for awhile and then another nap, then said the heck with it and went sound asleep on my couch and awoke this AM very, very sore from all that walking. (not much for you guys, but for me, well...........it was a lot).
So here I am, once again

hoping the caffine kicks in from the strong brew I made but so far ain't nothin' happenin' folks. (don't wanna take anymore aleve or aspirin just yet)

Waiting for the grass to dry off. I need to cut the back yard and the front yard, fire up my edger (that I bought last year and never used) and shovel dirt and, oh man, I feel another nap time coming on.

Hi All,
Need to be fast this morning which isn't easy, ugh. We got home awfully late last night after a full day of going to the show, running around Portland for a variety of stuff, and getting together with family in the evening. Then the long drive back to Kitsap. Glad DH does the driving, my eyes droop much too easily.

It was super meeting Mikeyb and Stumpfarmer and her daughter, great people. I got to see others I already knew and missed a few, dang! Dave... you were late... Hinotori was apparently hiding from me (luv the chick pics)... and the others I just didn't recognize apparently. Well, hopefully at the next potluck I'll do better. Congrats on the ribbons, the new chicks, birds, and all!

I hope the little chick that's under the weather perks up today, good luck!

Congrats to the little reader / dancer. And Hi to the little one with her baby chick. Just love all the littles, be they feathered or not!

Have a great day everyone!!

ETA:

My favorite thing I saw at the show was the TINY quail chicks for sale. They're the size of a walnut.
