I am sorry you disagree. It is possible for unvaccinated birds to carry and not show symptoms (like in people ie typhoid).To confirm diagnoses for pretty much anything you need to submit for necropsy. You can run titers to show exposure. You can do the same in dogs and cats too.

It's where the feathers start on the legs, that is where the tendon slips out. Hard to see in a photo

aww heck i found the tendon and it's straight. it must be marek's. this is the second chicken that my 5 year old had picked out and the first died as a baby and now this one will too. **** this really sucks and so terrible to see them that way I will give her some time and see what happens but at this point i just dont know. that one leg is sensitive but the other one isn't. I really pressed on it and messed with her foot etc. she can tell with a sharp poke but it seems maybe she doesn't have as much feeling in that foot and the other one has a lot of feeling (sensitive). *sob*
