Im in SE Graham. We had wind here pretty good this morning.

We were gone over the weekend so I had the chicks in the brooder. Grafted then onto a broody hen this morning. She happily took them.

If I were to pull all the mushrooms, I would have to go out and check an acre of property thoroughly, every single day. Not gonna happen. The birds leave them alone.
we have shaggy manes popping up in the driveway & along the gravelly side of the roads...they are edible, but always make positive ID before you eat them !
Saggies love the hardest gravelly rocky packed roads !
And sand !
It is rare to see them growing in any "nice" soil...........
