hello fellow washingtonians! it's been a long time since I have posted anything in here. last time it was about thinking of finally starting a coop. well I checked that off the summer to do list and two days ago we brought home some day olds! we were not exactly planning on doing so...but my son fell in love and my husband said we should just do it. excited to finally have chickens!!!

I still have a few of my original girls who are 7.5 now. They are still very friendly (and demanding). They come running when I open the back door and follow me everywhere. They will happily just steal things from my hands.

starving think it was my own fault as had not given I to them before

Ive never had a silkie eat eggs. I always have a bowl of oystershell available in each pen though.

I actually know exactly where that is! My parents are from packwood and my grandpa lived right on the lake there...lake Mayfield? Beautiful area! Miss spending time there.
