You have hatchery birds so those will vary I had hatchery barred 4 years ago they grew quite large

Good to know. I think I'm a bit paranoid now since one passed. Double guessing what I thought about my girls and their health. Been a bit worried today that maybe she wasn't thriving... TT~TT but she is perky. Just a small lady.

I live much farther south than that, but a good rule of thumb to have roosters is 5 acres and NOT in an HOA.

Welcome to the Washington State thread we have members in the city but yes you would need to explore more rural areas

I would check out the city ordinances. I know in Marysville(north of bothell) its 1 acre to have a rooster.

People normally suggest 30 days for new birds in your flock. If you look it up it’s anywhere from a minimum of 2 weeks to 30 and 60 days.

30 days and 30 feet for a minimum. That also lets the birds become accustomed to any bugs on your place without being overwhelmed.
