Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Thankfully the Cole creek auction is not that far from us every Saturday fowl auctions easy to make feed cost back .. Seems I have 11 pullets possibly 10 growing up to fill my main coop again should all lay before winter

Hey SW WA peeps, is there anyone local who makes coops that can deliver partially disassembled so I can get it into my yard easily? I have seen 2 localish (Portland) builders on CL and FB but they don't respond to my inquiry. I need a coop run combo that I can put together myself quickly. Please feel free to DM me. Thanks!

May look into Home depot get a small building from them then cut door for chickens can keep more birds that way too

Welcome!

As they get older and their personalities really come through, chickens are even more fun.

I have an 8.5 year old hen who is in your face and demanding. She also has no problem running past mine and the dog's feet into the house to see if there is any dog food in the bowl. I have to make sure the door is closed all the way or she will come in first chance.

She doesn't like being held, but is happy enough to hop into my lap. She rules the coop quite well. None of the other 10 large fowl hens are quite that dominant. She's still laying an egg a week even at this time of year.

The dozens of silkies I have always swarm me. It's hard to step into their pens unless I distract them first.
