Hopefully everyone survived the crazy rain and flooding! We flooded (as usual) but all safe and sound.
Our run was completely flooded and the poor birds have spent the last 3 days locked inside.

We're fine here. We actually drain pretty well concidering.

What is this dry? I've grown moss instead of hair. My cats have gills.

Same here and the chickens are taking swimming lessons.

Wow! That's bad. Poor chickens. I guess I can stop complaining about the ground being soggy.

im waiting for it to get light out so we can see what trees fell over. Crazy wind last night it’s a miracle we didn’t lose power.

I know I heard branches hitting the roof

New to chickens, not new to WA. I grew up in eastern WA, left for about 20 years (lived in CO for a few, then western WA), I'm glad to be back in eastern WA.
I now have my late father's property, and am working on setting up for chickens, and possibly miniature donkeys down the road as well.
I have Belgian Malinois, and will be setting up a variety of training/sport venues for them as well.

I also grew up in Washington (Tacoma) moved away for 20 years and moved back 6 months ago to the Olympia area. It’s good feeling to move back to where you feel at home isn’t it?

Good morning have great rubber boots heavy lug souls.. Even so slide in the saturated grass
but not like Chicken momma it is horrible wet have not seen we lost any trees
here yet

Amazing, the rain's actually let up. My front yard is still flooded with a current but the chickens finally have some run access after 48 hrs locked up!

Most of the water around our house foundation has now receded or drained. Septic is still acting up but I have someone coming on Tuesday to take a look, so even though we're still waterlogged, we're at least in better shape.
