Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Oh they learn what a net is really fast. Only my halfbreed rooster will risk getting near it and then only to attack the net if I grab a bird with it. If no one's caught, he runs with the rest of them. He's a brave thing trying to rescue hens and chicks. He never ever comes after me. If I grab them, he runs up and stops 3 feet away and bu-buks nervously while pacing. Once they settle he relaxes and wanders off.

I reroofed the silkie pens and finished the side walls yesterday afternoon. My back is killing me even more. I pulled something with that AC and should have taken it easy but rain was coming.
I hope that you're feeling better!

Wow you know have to be cautious that way ...
I keep a walking stick with me but also can stop a bird rooster if need be ..
Surprised me the other night as Son was with he said he never saw Smudge get out I saw him fly past me then just three in the coop

My roosters are all nice. The biggest one is half silkie as well. He doesn't like being handled but will come up to beg treats. Not that his spurs are a danger. I have to use the claw clippers on them occasionally to keep them from growing into his legs.
