Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

Anyone lose power today? We were down for about 4 hours, which isn't too bad I suppose... The winds took down a 20' tree that landed across our driveway, so we spent part of the afternoon chainsawing it into small enough pieces that we could at least shove it off the driveway.

Didn't get to sit down at the computer until almost 7 PM.

Hey ya'll, sorry to interrupt any conversation. I'm over on Bainbridge Island and have his rooster who needs a home. I would like to not cull him as he is very sweet. He is a BR and has not started crowing yet. I'm not quite sure how old he is but I'm thinking around 4 months, we got him around 9 weeks ago cause he was sold to us as a pullet, we unfortunately don't have space for anymore roosters. He LOVES apple, (this doesn't have anything to do with anything but it's really cute to see how excited he gets.) He doesn't run to be picked up but he doesn't mind being held. He does amazing with kids and has never shown any signs of being aggressive towards humans nor other chickens. View attachment 2372362View attachment 2372363View attachment 2372364
Hi! Hey I’m on Bainbridge too, there is a very active Facebook group called Bainbridge Fowl. They rehome chickens all the time. Very sweet people. Good luck!

I have the sides of the silkie pens fully tarped now so no damage here. In the past the roof tarps sometimes would get damaged. Now no wind can get underneath.

Lots of trees down on powerlines around here but we kept our power.

Yup! I have posted him on there, no takers yet! Hopefully someone will find him appealing 🤞 I also posted him on Washington Rooster Rehome. So we will see ☺ 🤞

Rooster to be honest once it leaves you cannot say it won't end up soup
ir it came here I would have to but have 3 now to cull hopefully when I post at our store one of my Mexican friends will pick them up

Yes I saw you had posted there! He’s a lovely boy, I hope something comes up!
Thank you! Me too I am crossing my fingers! At the moment he is extremely quite and causes no issues, so as long as he doesn't start causing trouble I will keep looking. Once he starts I will have to send him to be culled. Hoping he doesn't stay long enough to get to that point.

I’ll go back to FB and leave a comment to boost your post.
