Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

They have very good 5 grain scratch. Their all flock is 21%. My birds like it well enough. Bi-Mart carries it as well. If we're going clam digging, we'll stop at the store in Aberdeen. We also pick up bags in Hermiston sometimes when we visit Mom. Graham Hay Market did carry it but I'm not sure of they still do. Wilco only carries the scratch.

I drove up to Walmart and got a flu shot. And my arm hurts now, which is unusual for me.

Thanks Bill We have had Bob like 13 years old.
He was raised here a feral kitten.
Sometimes I think I need to have an outdoor rodent control cat. I saw that yellow cat again yesterday, which might be feral. He has striped front legs and a striped tail. From a distance at first sight it made me wonder if it was a mountain lion.

Well yesterday we got ZERO eggs!! our girls do not like this change in weather / daylight at all!!! that and we have finally intergraded salt and pepper into the run full time!! Salt and pepper are the new littles that are not so little anymore!! Question we have 3 coops in our run. two of the coops can hold 4 birds and the little coop can hold 2 birds. The older girls go into the bigger coops each night and always the same birds in the coops (3 in one coop and 4 in the other. not really enough room for the littles to go in there at night so they stay in the little coop. should we make them go in the big coops at night or just let them stay in the little coop? oh by the way we have 9 chickens in total. 5 chickens in one coop don't work they end up sleeping in the nesting boxes. what I don't like about the small coop is that there is not really a roosting bar. what do you all think? I tried to shut them out of the small coop to see if they would follow the older chickens into the big coops but NO WAY they just went to sleep on top of their coop!!!!

You can make a little nesting bar very easily with a 2x4. Just cut a couple cross bars and put a longer one on top. It will only be a few inches off the ground, but it works. I used those for a long time when I had smaller coops.
