I would really like to see a picture of said awesome neon flashing egg. Hope it is before Christmas that would be alot easier then handing Christmas lights just lay your flashing eggs around.YOU WIN!!!! And they totally act exactly like the characters in the movie...
Thanks for the well wishes. I am phenomenally fortunate that my spouse is incredibly supportive, despite this disease cutting well into my salary since I am out of leave days. I hope a solution or a remission is in your, and everyone else's, immediate future!
Quick bird name LOL for y'all -- The 3 bantam "Easter Eggers" are the newest to the flock, only here for about a fortnight now. 2 of the 3 are sweet and friendly... the 3rd is nasty-aggressive - kicks and bites. I am generally not interested in feeding something that bites me, so when she was not present at dusk headcount Saturday I wasn't really sad and didn't do much of a jailbreak search. Didn't even consult the Fowlcatraz Bloodhounds (Clumbers... but you use whatcha' got! LOL). Had to come home from work early today (I consider it an accomplishment I made a bit more than 5 hours, though!) and there she was in the exercise yard.
Spouse thinks she looks like a lion, so I wondered aloud if we should name her after the Tiger that mauled Roy in his Sigfried & Roy show at the Mirage. "Montecore", I believe. Spouse is a stickler for details, however, so a tiger name when the bird looks like a LION is no. My next idea was "Rabies" and that was put into consideration, but she is also putting forth the evil lion in the Lion King movies, "Scar".
The last nasty bird we had was about 6 years ago one of our pigeons, we called him Ba***rd without the stars. Fortunately for him, but not us, he fathered the very strongest chicks (we never lost any chicks of his, other nests were a bit better than 50% and a pair surviving was rare, All of his survived.) and the best flyers, so we ended up keeping him around, though it meant I couldn't do pigeon chores b/c he'd attack me particularly viciously. He died of old age FINALLY after about 3 years with us.
I'll try to remember to report when we do decide on a name for her. And if she bites me again she better plan to have the most awesome eggs EVER... like with flashing neon advertising or something.
