In the subject of culling chickens, I find the easiest, fastest, and most humane method is to either place them in a killing cone or tie their hind legs, get some large, long handled pruners, and make a quick lop off of the head. It is instant and there's no messing up or making mistakes.

I personally find bleeding to be way too slow and inhumane. I don't care if the animal is in shock or eventually goes, I'd never want someone to do it to me if I were done in for meat.

Nope, sorry. Not finding it.

Seattle postings don't last long, you sure it wasn't expired? Have you checked your account homepage to see what it says? (if it is expired or still up)

I know I once posted an ad that existed, and it told me it was still up, and I could access it via the URL, but it never popped up in the listing for some reason. And there's no way I lost it, because my own local listings for the Peninsula are REALLY short.

So, did DH just get his car fixed and now he has to once again park at the bottom of the hill ????

NO! No more parking at the bottom of the hill!!! LOL! I made him work from home today. He already works from home on Wed & Fridays and his schedule was able to make it happen today. So it's all good! I still want him to get a truck one of these days. But probably not until we pay off his motorcycle and my car.

I can't find it. Something did come up under a Thai game fowl for sale. But I don't think it is yours.

I hold down and DH shoots the victim in the head with a very pumped up pellet gun, BAM. The end, no blood.
The loper idea sounds good though...

How?!

Wouldn't you need to hold the head in place and in turn not get shot in the hand? Chicken heads are small enough already. . .

GEEEEZ LOUEEEEEEZZ this place is like a bunch of ole (notice I didn't say OLD) hens cackling. By the time I read through and got caught up so I could tell ya it started snowing here at 6:00pm, we got about an inch and it had stopped by 7:30. But look now it's 9:48 and most of ya have already gone to roost.

For the 3rd day in a row we got a blue egg. Well ok so this one is half olive and half blue. So now I am starting to think that one of my crows is a half breed.

Unfortunately you'll hear of those evil creeps everywhere, even overseas. I want to puke whenever I hear the name. I've never seen people so filled with hatred in my life. I'm surprised he has such a following. Maybe if the media would stop covering the wretched flock, they would cease to exist as they seem to flourish off all the media attention. Arizona just passed a ban on funeral protests in response. That is such a sad, sad story. The girl was the same age as my daughter. I can't imagine the pain that all those families are going through right now.

Most of his followers are his family, very few if any are not his family.
