Ok I have to tell you about by parents' gander. My Dad had an a/c garage for his hot rod he built. He also had his office in there and a La-z-boy and TV. The goose would knock on the door to come in. He loved to snoop around the garage for a bit. Then he'd honk to get into the chair and my Dad would hoist him into the recliner (protected of course). He was a fatty-boy. There he'd take a nice cool afternoon nap out of the Texas sun.

Ogress, I too loved the egg-mobile. I saw it on your FB updated pics & pointed it out to DH (who said we had a perfectly good egg holder given to us by a friend). By chance, where does someone find such a thing?

So far we've gotten 7 eggs this season now. 2 girls are laying with several on their way. Yay!

we are gonna have to fence in our whole yard i guess.. the goat yard takes up a lot of it, but there is an area that is an open 'through-way'... perfect for loose dogs to come down along. irgh.

Sorry to hear your still having loose dogs at your place...

That would drive me nutts. But then again our Kona dog, does a great job keeping strange dogs off our property. She does NOT like dogs that she doesn't know. Good thing I have a secrure fenced yard! My sisters horse Lacy doesn't like odd dogs in her field, she runs them off, neck snaked out, in full attack mode! None of my neighbors dogs dare to go in my fields. Amazingly though, she doesn't go after any of my three, or my sisters little rat dog. Its like she knows that the belong here. Wanna barrow Lacy? lol Or I could hook you up with a Nubian Doe who will chase off dogs! lol

I have had a problem with one neighbors pitbull. He is actually sweet, except he likes to run around the coop and run, chasing and freaking out my girls. I had my son(who is a really good shot) hit him with a couple of paintballs. He went home with bright red paint on him and I am sure his owner got the message. We had talked nicely about it before and I told her to take care of the problem soon and she didn't. So I figured a shot in the butt with a paintball would scare him a little and send her a message. I don't want to actually hurt the dog, but seriously? Can't people keep their animals in their own yard? My chickens don't go over to her yard. Geez!

If he can jump the fence(which he can) then chain him up until you can figure something else out!
