Even if the herbs don't shrink your heart, soda speak, they can help with the function to keep things in balance and working properly. And if you buy some red clover blossoms at the health food store, make sure it's organic, there are always a few ( or many) seeds in there. Just like growing catnip. Never have to buy seeds if you want to grow catnip. Just throw some dried catnip where you want it to grow. Along those lines, I put old rabbit cages over my catnip plants and let it grow and fill up the cages. Whatever grows through the wires is for the cats. the rest is mine. Keeps the cats from rolling in young plants and keep my tea from having too many cat hairs in it.
I did read that in the article CL sent me. Ive never seen any red berries on my trees though, so I am wondering what type of tree the hawthorn was crossed with to make it a hybrid... But then again, these are HUGE trees, and all the flowers are 20-70' in the air, so I really wouldnt be able to see them anyway. Plus we have lots of wild birds, and the article said that theyeat the fruit. So..?
If you dont mind me asking, what is the catnip tea for?
I make a sleepy tea for moi from the catnip. I mix it with Skullcap, Chamomile, Valerian (which I also grow in my herb garden) ... A nice tea of this and I sleep like a baby. And of course, my cats, being druggies get a fair portion of catnip also. Catnip is fine all by itself to help you sleep very gently and with no bad hangover like pills can do. Oh well, there is a bit of a slow wake up but with a mellow kind. Valerian is what Valiums are made from. Or were. Maybe now it is synthetic. I prefer to take mine as close to nature makes it if possible. I think there are minor elements that are valuable to keep a balance in the ingredients that will work for us.
Now, if I could just find an herb to take the place of Albuterol.
