I read that thread this morning. Alot more information there now that Pips&peeps chimed in. Now what I'm wondering is, if this is only for importing and exporting birds to and from Washington, or does it also affect sales within Washington as well? Hmm... Think maby I should go read the regulations, now that I have all these questions. lol

We have a limit of 8 but my lot in the old rules when I started chickens would allow 11... so I have 10

I sell the chicks or the juveniles or the adult birds. So I only have 10 adult chickens at any given time.

You could go all the way to 30 on a double shift.

I have no idea how many I can have, but I know a guy that has chickens, ducks geese peacacok and dogs just down the street from me...
Whatever the number is must be more eggs than I care to eat.

4 was my max I thought, 2 eggs for DH, 1 for me & one for DS.
BUT DS is a growing boy so 3 eggs for DH, 2 for me and 2 for DS.
& ducks...and one drake would be my NEW max.

It is more poo than I care to clean anyways.

So, whom ever lives in Forks, Wa. You left you gate open and your wind is @ my place agian.
Could you come over and retrieve it before I lose power. PLEASE! I would really apperate it.
My wading pool is now on a migration cycle over to the neighbors house, whilest he don't like me very much and I might have to make him get into it.
SO IF YOU COULD COME AND GET YOUR wind BACK, I would be a very good friend from here on out.

It's pretty windy here too...and the snow is melting like crazy! It was 50 degrees in town today--actually starting to feel like spring! When I got home, my tack shed, round pen and all of my chicken runs were (and still are) flooded. Well, the tack shed is up on cement blocks so far it's okay...but my chicken runs are all under 6" + of water!

I love it when my DH get excited about something I've got going. He tries to hide it but you can tell!

My sweet sweet man has been hashing and ciphering for a week on the design of our new coop.
he wants to be sure they are safe, insulated, and it is easy for me to clean and collect eggs.
he is also aware of the bird's heigth, weight, and size so they can all fit on the perches without tails getting mushed or getting on each other's nerves if they need be locked in during storms.
He just came inside & showed me plans.
Sometimes he feigns he doesn't know a Java from an Ameraucana, then last night he came in and said the Blue Ameraucana Cock was at the Cochin's gate fence fighting with Clarence.
Clarence just stands there, but the Am was head bobbing, quite funny as the Am is less than half the size of the Cochin Clarence.
I just looked at DH..he actually KNEW the breeds and names !
he chased Jazz off (the Blue Am) and that was that.
He really loves the whole farm thing although he does not get involved in coop cleaning and such.
he has gathered hatching eggs, and penciled their breed on the egg although he wrote on the pointy end

, he is a sweetie pie.

He has gone back to his shop to design the foundation, and we will begin building Sunday probably, these Javas are getting big & need their own coop!!!

LOVE it!!!

Yeah everything is pretty darn wet here too... The feed room at the barn I manage is flooded again! But this time I dont have to worry, as I finally talked the owners into bringing in Pallet so I can get the hay up off the cement. So Im not overly worried about that. My coop doesnt flood, as its on the highest spot Ive got, everything runs around it and down the hill. The horses on the other hand... Well there not an entire lot I can do about that now. Stupid ponies would rather stand outin the rain, than get under cover. Oh well, They have shelter, but I can't make 'em use it.
