The grew up in California till I was a teen, been here ever since. The rain still get on my nerves. The grey all the time is hard to deal with sometimes. So come Feb. when I'm startin to get the "grey blues", I just think about the chicks that are ready in March and that usually helps me keep my sanity!

So you must have moved to somewhere sunny, lucky you!
Oh duh, Goldendale. You get the sun but are you buried in snow in the winter?

There hasn't been much snow actually. Its the wind we have! Todays been awful! 70 mile an hour gusts.....uhg. But...its sunny : )

Whoa... ok no complaints about the rain from me then! We are surrounded by trees so the big gusts get my heart going.
Chickielady is in Raymond and that's what they had earlier this week! Stay safe!

Rainwolf, Don't youhave a limit of 6 too or are you planning to hide the rest in the basement and let them out on a rotation.

We have a limit of 8 but my lot in the old rules when I started chickens would allow 11... so I have 10

I sell the chicks or the juveniles or the adult birds. So I only have 10 adult chickens at any given time.

Is any one bringing Orp eggs or chicks to Monroe? I would just hate to come home empty handed!

Buffs are ok but other colors would be great! Thanks.

I am not going to try to catch up today. I feel like APPLESAUCE! I have been sleeping most of the day. Hope everyone has had a great day! I need to go back to bed now.

Under the old rules, I could have about fifteen. I don't plan on more than a dozen adults at a time. Or maybe I should plan on sixteen and only let out half of them at a time.

Hi all!
We got back from Illia's a short time ago & it is monsooning & blowing a gale here..big waves on the river & trees bent near in half.
We made it OK though!!
Zgoatlady your rooster is in my van in a carte, has food & water and out of the weather..when the storm subsides I will get him in a bigger pen.
Illia has gorgeous birds, and I cannot waite to see her new big green house she is going to build.
It was storming so bad we are all soked & her birds were hiding out so did not get to see many..can't blame them for hiding.
The coast is so beautiful, and boy is Illia isolated in the deep mossy woods !
A beautiful place though, giant cedar and Doug Fir all over and some kind of short needled pine that really intrigued me, short and almost bushy, btanches look like a bottle brush.
I have to find out what they are and see if I can get some to plant here.
Well, gone all day and came home to 6 babies newly hatched..peeping all over the place!
Gotta go get some work done now...
