Jen, if you need eggs to put under your broodies ... I'd love to see what mine hatch out as ...

EEs from Privett ... pullets are your basic duckwings, roo is kinda special, is carrying either Columbian or Dominant White, which is why I want to see what chickies look like (I posted a pic a couple weeks back)

Dana (SadieSue) has some of mine under her broody, should be hatching within the next week or so ... but I have lots of eggs, getting five or six a day and I'm the only one in the family eating eggs ... got pink, olive-drab, turquoise, aquamarine, and 2 different shades of green

Yep, she's still setting on them. I've been incredibly busy lately and super tired as a result, so haven't had much time to fool with either the broody or the eggs. I did get the 16 week olds moved into the big coop with the hens so just need to have a little time to thoroughly clean out the mini coop in anticipation of hatching chicks.

I'm in day 5 of 14 days straight at the theater as we move into tech week and dress rehearsals. I sat with the director and light designer today while we worked out light cues on paper. Tomorrow we run those cues with actors onstage, then begin running the show with sound and lights while I call the show from the booth with a light board operator. The next few days are going to be pretty nerve wracking while we work out any rough spots, and we open for real audience a week from tonight!
This is a fantastic show and I'm pleased to be associated with it but I'm kind of looking forward to having my life back.

Anyone here in the NW want a Black Sex Link Rooster? I am willing to travel a little ways to get him a good home. I do not want to cull him and can not keep him. He is about 5 to 6 months old. Please pm me if interested. THANKS!

Not sure what some of that means, like "Black Orpington split to Lavendar pullets". But sounds like you may have some girls for sale? You are not too far from me. I am at Lake Tapps. I will have to look up Barnevelders. Don't know what they look like.

I got some birds from CCG just a bit ago. She's got a nice place and takes good care of her flock. In fact when I saw her post I almost ran and called her to claim the BLRW's

You should get those! and a Barne! and then some BCM's and then some EE's and then some RIR's and then .. and then ... heh:}

Thanks Velvett! Ya know, I think I told ya about the young BLRW pullets but you said you wanted birds that were laying or any day. Next time you come this way look me up. I'm sure I will have something for you. Maybe even a few Blue Wheaten Ameraucana! Did the other girls resume laying for you?

C4G, The Black Orpington splits are the result of Exhibition Blacks bred to Lavender Orpingtons. The Lavender is a recessive color so they come out Black but when bred together will produce a percentage of much improved Lavenders. We do that to improve 'type' on the Lavenders since their type still needs a little work. One of those project things! If you want small and fluffy I also have Bantam Cochins. Mille Fleur and Black and Blue Mottled splits. The split thing is the same idea as with the Orpingtons.

Ya done good. Wish him happy birthday for me.

My younger son's 21st birthday was memorable. He was walking across the UW campus, and saw a man dousing himself with gasoline. My poor son was seconds too late to stop him. He actually had his hands on the guy when he set himself on fire. It was horrible.

Oh no!!! thats not what you want to remember your poor son!
