Poo. Sorry I'm going to be missing Stevenson is bad enough. But there's no way I could ever justify going to be big awesome show like Crossroads. I will live vicariously through those of you going. And I'm requesting that you all post lots of photos, pretty birds, pretty smiling faces, etc.

will do!

Most of mine will probably go up on FB .. I might nab my sons laptop and take that along for uploading purposes

At the fair, I didn't recognize someone I see pretty often, I was SO embarrassed. Must be old age. lol!

I have been working with Romeo like crazy, but that squatty little man WILL NOT stand up! Any pointers?? Son is showing the Serama, we may not put Romeo on the table...

PS~~ yes, we will be in on Friday night--heading down after school...

I posted once before but must have gotten missed, is anyone bringing a near POL LF pullet of a calm breed for sale at Stevenson? I have prepurchesed a pullet from CloverLeaf Farm and would like to find a buddy for her in qurantine, my LF are Speckled Sussex and very calm and non agressive. I prefer to buy from BYC's I know that we care for our chooks, rather than someone unknown.

Cindy, Steph and I have our phones and I will be able to check the BYC too. Can wait!

I'm staying at the Best Western too. Hubby and Rob are going, while Eldest son James stays home to "Watch the birds." Hopefully nothing can starve to death in 48 hours... Then 2 more weeks and we're off to CROSSROADS, INDIANA!!! for what may be the largest chicken show of all time. Drool in envy, everyone who isn't going. It'll be great!

I bought a bunch of those tarps last year to protect my runs from the wind and rain - they held up beautifully. I think one can be seem on my BYC page over the Eglu run - I attach 1X3 long boards to the ends so they don't flap around in the wind, and onther in the middle so I can fold up one side of the run cover to let more fresh air in.

Thanks SO much for posting the pics of these tarps! I was just looking at them on the internet yesterday. I think they would be the perfect solution for my Run. The heavy rain we had last week really convinced me the girls need more rain protection. Their run is long and narrow. To keep out the rain I'd need a HUGE overhang or walls. Walls of any kind make it way too dark, I don't want them in the dark all winter. But CLEAR tarps would work really well! I wonder if they might be available locally anywhere? Has anyone seen any? Shipping for one tarp nearly doubles the price.

I need to place an order for more to cover my banty run/greenhouse. Perhaps we can combine an order to save on shipping

Ok so whats up with the coop/shed? Ari did ya get it worked out?
If not... for $100 you can get some good materials to make one I think.

How many birds? where are you located? I might know something that can make a coop with if you can't get that shed thing...

May I ask why you gave up on the Polish?
