I will ask DH tonight, after he gets to Toronto. He said he might call while in Minneapolis, but I'm not holding my breath about that. lol DH has done most of the butchering for us, with DS or myself helping him.

Good am everyone. Kinda slept in today, but I was up rather late in my defense. Time for some joe, and then I gotta get to work.
justbugged; a very nice looking run.

Thank you. I think you feel asleep on me last night.

That sounds kind of wrong somehow. Don't tell DH on us. LOL

I needed the reminder about planting peas. Thanks

Beans shouldn't be planted before sometime in May at the earliest. The soil isn't ever going to be warm enough before then.

if your buying in LFP then yeah that expensive. Monroe, Snohomish and all the rest of the cities and towns are much cheaper and still an hour or less to Seattle. I bought 13 acres here for 280k , the neighbors house is going up for sale, dont know what it will go for but 5 acres with 5 bedroom two story remodeled house, barn and stand alone 12x12 buildings (7 of them) on 5 acres has a tax value of 196k right now. maybe my mom will buy that... but property is NOT that expensive as long as you do not buy pretty much in the city.... I would still stay out of king county. taxes taxes and rules and regs and etc etc...

It's a much longer commute from Monroe or Snohomish than it is from here. We're at roughly 160th NE, so not very far north of Lake City. I don't know what way you'd get downtown from where you are...but we're a little less than a mile from Bothell/Lake City Way or about two miles from I-5. DH complains already about the length of the commute. We often drive to Woodinville for things, so I know how long that trip takes. He wouldn't go for it.

right, I was pointing out that is why property is much more expensive. your very close to the city. if you want a 15 minute commute you will pay high price for property, if you can deal with up to an hour in traffic, you will pay half. I lived right in Wallingford for quite a few years, would not live there again.

Well I guess the forum mods have to ok your website huh?? I tried to put my website on my signature and it didn't come up!
Anyway, if you guys want to check it out it's www.mmvranch.webs.com I have no idea what I'm doing so if it looks stupid well, I guess I'll have to change it!! LOL ! Anyway, wind is dying down so I am able to get a few things done tonight! Never read you could fix a cracked egg, I have read that you really don't want to keep it, cause it could introduce bacteria ect into the bator. But, I thank you for the information!

And just a note for our friend from MI who is looking to relocate. I don't know what part of MI you are coming from, my parents moved back there a few years ago. It is not likely you will find property at the prices they are in MI, I would think in the Seattle area, and even out where our friend Redreiner lives much higher than over there. I understand your hesitation, just make sure you do plenty of research and call and talk to someone over here as in real estate etc. That's a long way to move and not be happy! Trust me I know! Good luck!

Hahaha, it's our secret. You're right, I dozed off at the keyboard, gave up and went to bed.
Just got back in from laying out my girls new house. If it wasn't for my #1 son I'd never get anything done. Too dang old I guess, but I keep trying.

I guess I was suggesting that getting an acre (plus) within commuting distance to downtown is not possible without paying the hefty prices, because my spouse would not choose to commute as far as you're suggesting. (Some people may find it an acceptable compromise). He used to walk half a mile to the bus stop, take the bus downtown, and walk a few blocks to his building, which took about an hour total. Now he drives to the bus stop, rides to South Lake Union, and has a shorter walk to his building - and I think that's still 45 minutes or so. Driving may be shorter - or it might not, depending on the traffic. I don't think he ever gets to work in anything near 15 minutes though.
