Wazine is not the one that kills all the parasites at once. It is the Ivermectin you follow up with 2 wks later that does. Wazine is milder, so start with that, then follow up with the Ivermectin 2 wks later. At least that is what all the threads I've read on it have recommended!

The seller of the Lavender Ameraucana's (not Araucana's!) is in Vancouver, WA but works in Longview which is a little closer to those of us up north of her. She also has the Lavender & BBS Orpingtons. Still no pip's on my Am's.....yet! Not giving up hope yet!!! My Orp baby's are just precious! Will try and get pic's this weekend, but I am running around like a CRAZY lady today through Sunday!!!

So I dropped off my stuff at the 4-H Garage Sale I've been speaking of, and they have a TON of good stuff! Anyone who likes Garage Saleing NEEDS to come by tomorrow! ONE DAY ONLY! Tomorrow, Saturday 5/29, from 9:00-4:00. Hidden River Middle School on Paradise Lake Rd in Maltby. Google for directions. They have furniture, tools, baby gear, toys, clothes, kitchenware and more!! They have a gymnasium FULL and more stuff is coming in!

If anyone is in the Snohomish County 4-H Poultry program (anyone! Even you lurkers out there!!!) and not doing anything tonight, Audrey, Nancy & Stan could really use help pricing stuff! I know they will be there until at least 7:00, or that was their plan, but they still have a TON more stuff to go through! Unfortunately, my eldest DD is testing for her Blue Belt in Tae Kwan Doe tonight so I had to leave to go do that. Which I need to get off this machine and round everybody up and head out the door.

Nighty night!!!

OK, I will look into the lavender Americaunas...I am a dope with the whole breed of chicken, know little about them.
Here is a few new pics of Jack,,,and he peed 4X outside today, the last time he ran to the door and I ran after him to let him out and sure enough he squatted !
So smart !!!
Has not doo doo'd yet today so we shall see how that goes

It is non-stop monsoon today, I have turned all the brooder heat lamps on, all my big girls are soaked to the skin, good weather for ducks and geese !
Still no local Royal Palm Turkeys ?
One more thing...we got in the van yesterday and turned on the heater and dead stink came out...today was way worse, darn it !
A dead rat or something is in out defrost/heater system.
Dh is ticked, this should not be possible with new vechicles...
Here is shots of Jack:

I agree with you.
Almost all the cats we have trapped here have been sickly, bitten up by fights, we got one a few weeks ago that had about a 8" long tail with a monster infection going on on several places on it's head, ears and tail...patches of skin missing as well.
We have no neighbors short of a mile away, but have 5-6 feral cats here a month.
That is only counting the ones we can trap.
None had collars or looked cared for.
And almost all had the same coloring, my opinion they had a colony going, all the same parents, all like colors.

I want to get Wazine and worm my flock, and also vaccinate for Mareks on the birds that have not been.
I heard that the shot, given under the skin, make a small bubble, and then later the birds can act very sick, almost to the point of appearing near to death from the live vaccine, is this true ?
Got some pointers here ?
And do I give the same small under-the-skin bubble to all, chicks, pullets and mature chickens as well ?
Next Q: Wazine and Mareks at the same time be too much ?

Justbugged:::Did you get all the little ceramic storage boxes you ordered from Dennis Co ?
I wanna see pictures of all of them that you have, I am thinking a collection would be fun~

ReiMeraa::::: How goes the work on your coop and the 3 broodies ?
Sounds like you have your hands full...where are you ?
I gotta go cook dinner but will try to get back to you.

Thanks!
Jack is a pound puppy supposed to be Daddy great pyranees, and Mom 1/2 shepard and 1/2 Australian shepard.
So he will be smaller, I just cannot see a great pyranees jumping a fence and doing it with a shepard-aussie shepard.
And would it not be so hard for her to deliver such large pups ?
When will you have the blue eggers ?
Next time (in the next few weeks) maybe I will go see my grandson in Monroe and can bring your roo from LaSombra.
I would have to pick up the roo the day before, and keep him in a big crate, then leave early the next day, maybe see LaSombra on a Friday and stop buy your place on a Saturday , cuz you work days ??

got on odd question, I have a poult that has 2 bubbles under his wing.... went on the turkey thread and can't find anything other than another person with the same question...."what is this thing?" It doesn't seem to hurt him but it has all of us curious!! any advice would be nice! I am not too concerned as I said because it doesn't even seem to bother him...it's just an oddity to me!....Well off to bed! You all have fun and maybe I'll meet a few of you tomorrow at the G sale!

To Russ/Imp

We live right by Tiffany Park School, so not to far from you.

To Zgoatlady

I would be interested in learning more about your Black Copper Marans. What else can you tell me about them? How much do you sell your eggs for? My friend had dark brown eggs and was unable to candle them. How are you able to candle them to see if they are developing and not rotting.

What are Olive eggs?

My daughter is 15, nearly 16. Not sure that with work and doing running start next fall, plus church activities etc, etc , I don't know if she will have time for 4-H I am afraid.

As for me, I have 4 kids g 20, b 18, g 15 and g 10, 2 stepkids, 4 cats (two are half siamese littermates from an animal shelter and two are half-brothers rescued as kittens from a feral cat colony in Westport. I also have a lipizzan gelding, a beta and of course a husband.
