You can have Cochins in bantam and large fowl size, they are adorable, good tempered birds, healthy and sturdy and tolerate cold well.
I had alot of them in the past and adore them...I am still whining deep inside for RareFeathers Lemon Blues that I have to have (next spring)
As for the Poofy Roo with the big butt...maybe if you look through the breeds and sub breeds index you can spot the bird.
They do have alot of cross breeds in open class, maybe he was a mutt ? I have seen some pretty mutts.

and besides, DH says you would have to sandblast all that purty pink paint off and rust it up!!!
He says you need a rat fink gear knob and a chicken wire windsheild, you should be able to handle that !!!

So luckily for my cousin, my aunt was over exagerating when she called with the news. It turns out that he severed his thumb, missed the main artery by a hair, and it was hanging on by threads. So not a clean amputation. However, the Dr.'s at the UW were able to reatach his thumb, and they are saying that he should have "some" range of motion after he completes his P.T. So now my family can breath again.

Thanks everyone.
