Cheryl - I am so glad that it wasn't worse. It's amazing what they can do with PT these days. I hope it heals well and that the range of motion is better than they say it will be. It often is. The doc's never want to commit themselves to any particular level of healing.

Hubby asks: Does this have a hemi in it? Is it a 331 or a 426? He says it looks like a 331. A firedome?

It is not ours, it was at a car show.
DH says yes it is a hemi but he does not remember the size.
You all know what a hemi is ?
My daughter's Malibu has a hemi in it.
A hemi is nothing more than an engine with domed pistons.
Chrysler and Dodge do not have the patton on the hemi motor, alot of cars have them.
This one was scarey and old, and had so much character !

I love Salt Water Park too !!!
We had a 'fort' in a bunch of tall sea grasses...so secluded.
As far as I am concerned you can be honerary..but it is the Sound, not a bay

Anyone in Western Washington looking for ducklings? I've got Khaki Campbell & KC/Runner mixes - not quite a month old. Cute as all dickens and free ranging already.

All offers considered, trades & swaps welcome!

Cheryl::: I thought he cut it off with a chain saw ???
How on earth does a person do that ?
hu.gif

If he was splitting cedar, shakes or kindling he could have done it, bad timing...PT is painful, grab and squeeze the tennis ball, pull the finger or thumb all the way back to stretch the tendons.
Tendons retract to nothing when they are cut...and the pain after they are torked back and resewn in position is excruciating...worse pain I have ever had even with all my surgeries.
Well, hope all turns out OK, and glad he did not do worse, man, that was scarey !!!
My birds continue to recover, and I am after another medicine recommended by Pipsandpeeps and Tailfeatherz1.
Later guys...

rrrr. wrote you guys a long message which disappeared when my network bobbled for a minute. ggrrrrrr

Glad to hear everyone is doing better. No more amputations or flock massacres you guys!

Fair report
Archer and Hope were so excited when their pips n peeps ameraucanas got blue ribbons. The white cockerel got BB and the Wheaten hen got RB. Jas's BLRW cockerels didn't get DQed for being marked as blue laced. That made me feel good though the non splash version was marked RB BV which I think is technically impossible. Perhaps someone has poor handwriting. It was scratched out a few times.
the Millies (2 cockerels and 3 pullets) did well but I'm not sure they had any competition. I didn't notice other feather footed bantams. one pullet got BB BV and the cockerel got RB RV. Jason wanted to know if they win money and I told him be grateful they got fed for 5 days.

The kids were just shining with joy that their babies did so well.

on flock health, we lost 3 adolescent chickens in a few days last week. After we got them on antibiotics (via water) they immediately seemed to rebound. We also lost two hens but I don't think it was the same cause. one just went missing and as for the other, well, there were a lot of feathers near where we let her roam.

on news of the wierd. my sisters neighbor in tacoma has 3 hens who've suddenly gone blind. no eye discharge, they cannot see enough to find food or jump up on the roost though they will eat if coaxed by pecking food under their beaks with a finger. anyone ever heard of this? it's half their flock and all one variety. their leghorns and astaulorp are fine.
