Looks like we could meet up in Centralia or thereabouts when I head north. If the day is wrong for her, I don't mind taking a detour. I'm planning on picking the ducks up in Corvallis that Monday around 11 am. Corvallis to Centralia is about 3 hours... maybe a bit more depending on if I need to eat and whatnot.

That means the rooster will be in the car sunday and monday... can I feed him flockrasier? Can I use one of those drip water things, I think I have an old one around here from a guinea pig.

lol, i'm just a worry wart about new animals.

the 9th is before the show... unless it's the 9th of november.

another question. all my carriers will be in use but one.. the small cat one, will it be big enough?

Fantastic deal on Apples for a GREAT CAUSE!
Win Win for EVERYONE!

Anyone around the East Side near Woodinville WA this place is right across the street from the AMPM on Wooodinville-Duvall road. There is a restaurant and espresso stand in the same parking lot.
They are located on the top floor if I remember correctly. Brick building.

This is a great deal on apples and it will help out a great ministry that has been changing lives.

The apples will be ready for pick up after 11:00 next Wednesday.

Not trying to be toooooo biased but these are HUGE apples with awesome color and taste. They are so big they might be qualified as lethal weapons.

These are not organic apples.

Anyway here are the prices:

½ box- $5.00

Also “Very Cherry” red preserve……… Killer Cherry jam- $7.00

Free delivery of 10 or more boxes in King and Snohomish Counties. Otherwise you can pick them up either at the PFC offices in Woodinville or in the City of Duvall.

If you want to reserve your box then drop me a quick e-mail.

Remember all proceeds go to our Christ-centered clean and sober home for addicts and alcoholics in restoring them to Christ, their families, the churches and the community.

That is a great price!!! We just got our cider press in. If we can't scrounge up enough free apples I will probably end up buying some from this place. And they deliver. Now to see if I can get it delivered to a friends house in king county..... Thanks for the info!

Hey! I know Greg from PFC in Duvall! How cool is that! (Didn't expect to see his name here...will definitely check out the apples, to be sure!)

Greetings to All...My name is Lisa, and I'm a newbie in the Snoqualmie Valley. I've been researching and researching, and we think we've decided on what breed(s) to start with...both for our purpose, experience level (i.e. none <lol>), and geographic area. I've actually got a couple inquiries into a Craig's List ad or two. (We're not ready to tackle hatching eggs or even chicks...we're taking the whimpy way to start...buying someone else's already-laying-hens! <chuckle>)

Question 1: I think we've opted for the RI Red and the Australorp breeds. I'm also very curious about (and have found an ad for) the Salmon Faverolles. I've actually run across lots of posts, etc. that mention having RI Reds and Australorps in the same flock with no problems, but I'm not sure about also including the Faverolles? The breed description says they are extremely shy and are often on the bottom of the pecking order with other breeds in the flock. Any experienced thoughts would be appreciated.

Question 2: Along the same lines as Q1, one of the ads I'm looking at includes an Araucana (presently with two RI Reds.) How would all of these mix together - Araucana, RI Red, Australorp, and Faverolles?

Question 3: One of the ads says their hens have "all their vaccinations." I've read about the Marek's and Avian Pox...anything else I need to include along these lines?

I'm particularly interested in your Western WA experiences with any of the above mentioned breeds.

Thanks a ton!

If it's not gone yet, there's a fantastic chicken house for 100$ in Des Moines.
