My youngest got the swine flu before he was able to get the vaccine. Glad he didn't end up in th hospital. I would have pitched a fit! He has asthma and it tends to complicate things anytime he gets sick. Friday was his first day back to school in a week. Sorry you had to get the antibodies the old fashioned way.

Free wooden shed - redmond

http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/for/1453036223.html

I have a two story custom built storage shed/outbuilding that I need moved out of my back yard. Tear it down, piece it out, salvage the componets, move it out in one piece or cut it into sections. I don't care how it goes, I just need it gone ASAP!
The shed measures +/- 10.1' x 16.2' and is approvimately 16 ft high with a pitched roof. It was very well built and is partially finished inside with stairway, sheetrock and shelving.
This building would make a great studio, worskhop, storage shed, chicken coop or playhouse for the kids.
Call for information or directions. It can be seen along the road if you are driving North on 148th past the Mircosoft campus.

Excel, thanks for the Craigslist link for free pumpkins. I got about half a truck load. This will make my chickens very happy.

Rainplace, you make me cry with that shed that I have no way to get. What a cute coop that would make.

Well, better go get one of those pumpkins out to my chickens.

So here's a pic.. The best I could do before I had to take off to class this morning. This is my crappy little camera... I need to charge the other.

And, for an added bonus...

I figured they'd be way too stressed to even consider it.

Someone told me duck eggs are the BEST for baking! I may have to talk you out of a few for my baking. I will bring you some treats though, made with duck eggs. I left my bowls there yesterday. Just put them aside and I will get them sometime soon. The ducks seem to be doing well. Have you named them yet? Or better yet, have your girls?

I get the produce scraps from the grocery store in Chelan and all my birds are pretty spoiled! My dogs like the pumpkins from our garden more than the chickens. We have a giant pumpkin that is half eaten on our front porch, and the dogs just devour the mini-pumpkins.

I asked the safeway I shop at if I could have produce that might be a bit "old". They said they can't give them away anymore. Such a waste! Your chickens are lucky!

I could easily live in that shed. Two stories. That is over 300 square feet if it is a full 2 stories.

eggs, eggs, eggs. Chickens chickens everywhere, but not an egg to be seen.

Sadly:

My mom just told me that a local boy ~ age 12 just died from flu. Very sobering....

KMHunter,

I did luck out. I get the scraps from the Red Apple. They are more than happy to save money on the dumpster, and I am more than happy to supplement the chickens, Geese, and Turkeys diet. I also like the fact that it's better on the environment. The chickens coop and yard is next to our garden and now I have the gate open so the birds can free range in the garden. What they don't eat from the garden and scraps just gets put back into the soil.

I don't know how to put pictures on here yet, but I have pictures at this link of our place and garden. I still need to upload some of the coop: http://cid-818a59ebb62adf55.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Ireland%20Farms

I'm
not sure if I'm allowed to post a link. If I'm not, I'll edit it out. Just let me know.

Sorry I had to add a couple more.

Spoiled ducks.. Ahhh this brings back memories (of my mom screaming at me about ducks in the bathtub.. after she discovered them in my bedroom!) They do kind of look possessed in the first photo..
