Weaveagarden or may I call you Cynthia

Don't come crying to me when you want ordinary white eggs when they become extinct. I like a nice row of white & brown eggs in my carton

Well, you can call me Cynthia, but that was a girl I was in the 5th grade with. Cindy is on the birth certificate, and that's all I have ever known. I often wished I was an Elizabeth. There are so many nicknames for Elizabeth. I have thought about changing my name to something that I think suits me more, but I never have. When I do, I suppose I should shed my last name which I inherited from a marriage that ended 32 years ago.... Aniversary of my divorce is actually the party night. We can all celebrate together...

Well you are all way too fast for me today. Mike I will try to get ya picks when I have access to a cam, mine died.

Ron I thought I was the only silly who named chickens after people. Buggs and woody were named after Justbugged and Woody using her last name.

It has not been a very good day. Had go to town and battle the Wal Mart stuff the first half then got home to discover empty bator is still too hot. Trying to set up a new home for my banties I cut the back of a finger to bone. No time or $$ for stiches so bandage and splint. Back at it we go. more hassles moving kennel and bator is still not stable. I am so ready for today to be over.
I am so ticked at myself over the bator !! It had been running for 3 days just fine at 99. But heck no I couldn't leave it alone I just had to add a fan and now can't get the temp right.

DANG IT JIM !!!!!!! IF it ain't messed up don't mess it up !!!!!!!!!

OI,.. speaking of ferals, the lady next door has been feeding them for years. This past season I hand raised two litters (which were adopted out through Kitty Haven in Seattle) and trapped and tamed three other litters. In addition I helped out at six spay/neuter clinics in which we did between 35-50 cats in one day (and often dogs on top of it in smaller numbers). I live in an area without animal control, and without the low-cost spay/neuter services I don't know what I would do.

I actually trapped and tamed the biggest nastiest tom, who is now our shop cat and is neutered/has shots. It took me six months, but he's a dandy now.

I wish people would contain and control their animals and, dear lord, SPAY AND NEUTER. Feral cat life is NOT pretty, I found a dead cat today, and I found two last week (one of which was partially eaten by coyote, hawk, or some other predator).

The darn cats ruined over 1 ton of hay my first year- it was SOAKED in cat urine. I had kittens born ON TOP OF my saddle, kittens born in a bucket, and kittens under a rose bush. It was INSANE. I felt like my life was dominated by cats- and I didn't even own one although I do possess a rather lovely allergy to them.

Keeping my buff americans near the barn, and allowing them to nest there, does keep the cats out- MOSTLY- but poses other problems (goose poop ALL over the concrete and in the stalls). This is minor compared to the overwhelming amount of cat urine and dung from before, which is all the more reason to praise my beloved geese.

I don't think anything short of territorial geese could keep the cats out.

nothing like a great party to celebrate another chapter in life!

Well, I have had many chapters since that one, but that one was a mile stone! I really began to become my own person then. I married at age 16, so divorcing 4 years later allowed me to start learning what I as a person was like. As all of us do, I am still learning. Since I don't get to have an aniversary anymore, the aniversary of my divorce is important. A symbol of a lot of lessons learned, it is also a reminder that as an adult I can accept more that people do make mistakes and I try to have a more forgiving heart now. Not easy, but I try.

It's just something that I say and can be said anywhere !!! Maybe sometime when we get together you will get to hear about "builder Bob". Ya will probably end up ROFL!!! Butya kinda have a bit of twisted sense of humor (like some say I have).

At least I am not the only one on this early. Been up since 1:30 so decided to work more on getting my bator adjusted. Discovered last night that there was a wire off. Now that I have fixed that it looks like I am getting close just checked and it is 95 so bumped up just a TINY bit.

Hi there, I am in Southern Washington- Battle Ground to be exact and I was wondering if there might be anyone who wants to split an order of Rangers from JM Hatchery? I would like to get 25 to start for myself, but the cost goes down the more you buy so I was checking to see if anyone would be intrested? I wsa thinking the first week of May if possible.

Thanks
